Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments from the UK only.
We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard and PayPal. Please note we no longer accept Maestro cards. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
If any goods are priced in error, Aquarius Hygiene will not be bound to honour incorrect prices.
Delivery of Goods
When an order is received by Aquarius Hygiene, provided the item is showing as being in stock at the time of order we aim to have the item delivered to you within 2-3 working days from the time of delivery.
The delivery of goods to you is deemed to be a separate contract for services, distinct from your contract to purchase the goods. We use reputable companies including TNT, UPS and the Pallet Track network for palletised deliveries.
For goods which are shipped on a pallet, the goods will be delivered as close as possible to your front door. The delivery drivers are not insured to take their vehicles off the public highway. If your property is unreachable for any reason, such as access being on a private road, up a flight of stairs (such as flats), or any other obstruction (inc. Narrow streets), delivery will be made as near to your property as possible.
The driver is NOT insured to take the goods inside your property. So therefore if the goods ordered are of a heavy or bulky nature, it is strongly recommended that at least two able bodied persons are available to get the goods inside the property.
A phone number needs to be supplied with all orders before any of our couriers will attempt delivery.
Timed or 2 man delivery can be arranged at additional cost please phone or email your postcode for a quote.
If the manufacturer delays processing the order we will inform you of the delay. A contact phone number must be provided at checkout, without this logistics companies and couriers will not attempt delivery.
Delivery dates given are approximate and subject to alteration upon product availability. Aquarius Hygiene cannot be held liable for any losses due to the unexpected late arrival of any goods ordered, including next day deliveries. In the light of this Tradesman should not be booked until goods are received and checked.
You must inform us within 7 working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence. Photographic evidence will be required within 7 working days before any damaged items are replaced. All goods should be checked prior to signing for delivery, damaged goods should be refused. Aquarius Hygiene will not be liable for replacing goods where a customer has accepted damaged items, it isn’t acceptable under any circumstances to sign as unchecked.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received in good order.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, a full refund will be issued.
The manufacturer guarantees all products against faulty materials or manufacture for a period of 12 months, provided they have been installed, used and maintained in accordance with our instructions.
The guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. If you are registered disabled you may check the VAT Exempt box during the purchase to receive zero rate VAT.
Credit Card Security
When an order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 256 bit encryption. These are secured and processed by either PayPal, Google or Amazon payments. Your details are only decrypted after they reach our computer but are not held in clear text on any web site.
When you enter the checkout area look out for the Padlock within your browser URL bar which is your guarantee of security.
Aquarius Hygiene do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Aquarius Hygiene conforms to the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 1998.
Aquarius Hygiene does not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. Aquarius Hygiene does not disclose email addresses to third parties or send unsolicited marketing emails to personal email addresses.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. You have a duty of care, by law to ensure that the goods are received by us in a good condition and unused. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or incorrectly described.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
